The presented project is called „Dubike”, it is a concept 3D compilation of an innovative foldable bicycle. The main project presumption to get the least dimensions after folding the unit. The bicycle is dedicated to regular size people and it has definite range (30 cm) of seat high adjustment. The project work and styling had to provide a unique design among this type of constructions. The folded bicycle fits in a cube witch such dimensions: 580x463x406 mm. This volume fits into a trunk of a standard personal car. The bicycle unfolds in a simple way using the help of a few catch elements. The main frame has a shock absorver in the front and another one under the seat. Dubike is equipped with lights that combine with the whole style of the bicycle. The handle-bar is mounting in innovative solution, it is set on circumferential bearing. The bicycle is equipped with a disc break. The rotary break lever is an integrated part of the handlebar. Dubike is powered using three cogbelts that ensure silent riding. This kind of transmission provides serviceless maintenance and lightweightness of the gears over the traditional picht chain type. For virtual design we used a popular surface-solid modeler – SolidWorks. We used advanced modeling techniques for parts and assemblies. We also used additional tools that are working in SolidWorks environment, for example PhotoWorks and Animator which were used to visualize geometrical model. The presented project is a unique concept bike that presents capabilities of construction evolution and styling in one-track vehicles.
