This is the age of communication and mobile is one of the important components which help us to connect with the rest of the world.
Now consider a situation in which you are on a long journey by your private vehicle or overnight bus travel and your mobile runs out of power and you need to make an emergency call.
Different mobile have different power backups. What you need to do is just ask the fellow passenger for some amount of battery power. It can be done by just attaching the two mobile phones with the power sharing cable by inserting the two ends of the cable in power socket of the mobile. The amount of power to be transferred (may be about 20-30% of the residual power present in the co-passengers mobile or according to the usage) is selected from the metering device.
The whole process may take few minutes and the mobile is refueled ready for making calls again.
The device is simple piece of cord like the USB cable and can be conveniently carried with other accessories of mobile.
The device is very simple to construct as it has with a small cable with a power transfer indicator attached to it. Some additions in the mobile software are required so that it has got power sharing option.
Mobile companies can manufacture these cables and sell it as a mobile accessory the cost being priced around $(5-15) on the basis of company’s production cost.
Since mobiles are used globally so the potential of this apparatus is huge and the product is highly marketable.
Now the device can be very useful but one big drawback is that different companies have different type of power sockets and hence one can only be able to share power with a similar company’s handset.
