Profession: Engineer/Designer

Inspired by: I grew up on a sugarcane plantation in India. As a teenager, I used to enjoy accompanying my father in his early morning duties during the harvesting season. His duty included setting fire to 32 acre lots of sugarcane to reduce cost of harvesting by burning off sugarcane leaves. After training as a chemical engineer I started my career in USA during the Arab Oil Embargo days of 1970's; I realized how much energy was being wasted every day during those teenage years. Technology has changed since that time and farmers do not burn the cane trash prior to harvest but they do burn it after the harvest. Reducing energy waste and harnessing waste sources of energy is my passion; and now I have help from three young engineers.
